Thread-reinforced adhesive tapes are reinforced with threads to increase stability. These threads are applied to the adhesive side of the tape and consist of white polyester threads as standard. Alternatively, INDUPLAST offers both colored polyester threads and reinforcing threads made from natural raw materials.
Thread reinforcement is frequently used in the area of packaging adhesive tapes on various carrier materials, very often for paper tapes, but also for PVC and PP adhesive tapes. Thread-reinforced adhesive tapes can be processed with standard manual dispensers and are also used as machine rolls.
Thread reinforcement in production – inserting the threads on the adhesive side
Thread-reinforced adhesive tapes in various widths, with different types of patterns (SK4, longitudinal reinforcement only), with white and colored polyester threads, paper tape with threads made from natural raw materials as an alternative to polyester threads.
The thread reinforcement increases the tear resistance and the tensile strength of the adhesive tape. Especially in the packaging sector, the thread-reinforced tape is better protected in the event of edge damage – as it generally only tears up to the thread. This means that the polyester threads have a reinforcing, protective and stabilizing effect.
In addition, the thread reinforcement gives your adhesive tape an individual look and appearance – especially if it is also provided with your personal print image, logo, brand message or markings of all kinds. This increases the security of the transported goods and offers a certain degree of protection against theft and tampering due to the individuality.
Thread reinforcement in the form of SK4 – that is a sine curve and three longitudinal threads – is frequently found on the market. The longitudinal threads provide lateral tear protection – the sine curve then extends over the wide surface of the tape and thus has a stabilizing effect.
For your individual look, INDUPLAST allows you to choose which type of thread reinforcement you prefer – longitudinal reinforcement only, sinus curve only or a combination of both.
In addition, INDUPLAST offers reinforcement with colored polyester threads as a novelty and absolutely unique on the market. This means that you can freely design a chic and elegant tape with your printed image and color-coordinated polyester threads to match your logo colors, for example.
As a more sustainable alternative, INDUPLAST also offers thread-reinforced tapes with reinforcing threads made from natural raw materials.
